To Be Or Not To Be
Hamlet, Act 3 Scene 1. by William Shakespeare
To be or not to be a person of integrity, even when it costs you the sale; that is the question...
To be or not to be a servant to your employer, even when you feel unappreciated, that is the question...
To be or not to be loyal to your spouse, even when an exciting temptation arises, that is the question...
To be or not to be a leader that does good, even when it is an uphill battle, that is the question...
To be or not to be a man or woman after God's own heart, even when it is costly, that is the question...
Each of these questions requires soul-searching. To choose integrity and loyalty requires convictions. To choose servanthood and leadership requires deep-seated passion and purpose. To choose to be royal sons and daughters in the kingdom requires submission and vision.
In my recent study of leadership, Myles Munroe shared this definition, " Leadership is the capacity to influence others through inspiration motivated by a passion, generated by a vision, produced by a conviction, ignited by a purpose."
With all the darkness in the news today and perpetuated in the media and social media, I offer the inspiration of great leaders from the past and present:
"A life not lived for others is not a life."
Mother Teresa’s PASSION for the poor and forgotten changed the world.
Who are you living for?
"Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty -
never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense.
Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."
Winston Churchill’s PURPOSE AND CONVICTIONS preserved nations.
Are you thinking of giving up?
"We want to help the hurting and homeless become the people God intended them to be."
Sandi Polzin’s VISION for the homeless and the orphans improves our community.
Are you living the life God intended for you?
We are in need of godly leaders to bring hope to the challenges of today. Are you ready to be part of the solution? Are you ready to be a difference? You are a leader. Step into your destiny. Discover your passion. Develop a vision. Live with convictions. Fulfill your purpose. Listen to the Holy Spirit bringing truth and calling you upward.
"He will also prepare a community uncorrupted by the world that He would call His own—people who are passionate about doing the right thing." Titus 2: 14
"Where there is no vision, the people perish." Proverbs 29:18a
"But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it];" Hebrews 10:38a
But whoever is firmly established in his heart [strong in mind and purpose], not being forced by necessity but having control over his own will and desire, and has resolved this in his heart to keep his own virginity, he is doing well. 1 Corinthians 7:37
